Understanding macros

Can someone please send me a link or videos of how to use macros. I'm trying to understand how to use them and how to do a reset button which deletes values in tables

there are many good books (MrExcel macros), then the learn them by doing. Always you can post specific questions here on this forum and you will be given help.

free tutorials along left, paid on the right.


There are many out there - but the real learning is in doing, just play around with it. Use the record macro tool and see what it does when you perform actions.

also, do clear a region - if it is fixed you can use

Option Explicit
Sub clear()
Range("A1:E11").clear
End Sub


otherwise you will need to do some calculations to make it elastic if your table size changes.

The Macro Recorder can be your best friend when you're trying to learn VBA. If you start by recording everyday repetetive tasks and then look at the generated code it will be that much easier to understand, since you're familiar with the process.

I want to change a colour quad in a donut chart when a cell results in green or red and colour the quad in. Can you use macro to do this when the cell is green and change quad to green??
