I saw this formula as I was browsing for an answer.

SUMPRODUCT(--(L3:L5000=1),--(C3:C5000="Base"),--(MONTH(R3:R5000)=MONTH(TODAY())-1))

what do the "--" mean?

Thanks

RH

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Sum values in ranges L,C and R when condtions are met:
L3:L5000= is equal to 1
C3:C5000= is eqaul to "Base"
(MONTH(R3:R5000)=MONTH(TODAY())-1)) = month in this range is equal to the last month (MONTH(TODAY())-1))= to August or 8)

just curious why this wont work, I get a #VALUE!

=SUMPRODUCT(--ISNUMBER(MATCH(Sheet1!B19:E12678,{"Estimate Approved","Product Ordered","Product Staged","Photography Complete"},0)),--(Sheet1!V19:V12678="COP"),--(MONTH(Sheet1!H19:H12678)=MONTH(TODAY())))

Thanks!

take a look if this is what you were looking for:

This is if you are looking for col B equal to any of the values you placed:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(Sheet1!B19:E12678="Estimate Approved")+--(Sheet1!B19:E12678="Product Ordered")+--(Sheet1!B19:E12678="Product Staged")+--(Sheet1!B19:E12678="Photography Complete"),--(Sheet1!V19:V12678="COP"),--(MONTH(Sheet1!H19:H12678)=MONTH(TODAY())))
