Hey guys im in a bit of trouble here
last week I was working on a workbook and accidently over wrote an entire column that was 903 rows of people's emails. No exaggeration. My question is if anyone knows of a way I can go back to before I saved my accidental overwrite. Im usually not this dense with excel or computers in general, but this is really bad. Please help!

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
It MAY still be on the drive but it's going to take some very special software, a crime lab or high end repair shop to get it back. If you're going to spend that kind of money, you should probably stop using that drive so that it doesn't get overwritten if it hasn't already.

Or, if you are working on a server, you can email your IT department and ask them to restore the workbook from the archive tapes. They will have a thousand questions, but it has worked for me every time. They should have a grandfather backup system that will allow for this type of restore.

The worst that can happen is that you lose some of the work you have done since, meaning that you have to rebuild your work from the point where IT backed up the server. That's still better than losing the data.

Good Luck! (And I mean that sincerely, not sarcastically.)
