I have copied a read only Excel file (version 2003) that has the B column hidden. This column has id tags that I need to use in other programs. Is it possible for me to unhide this column?

Thanks,

Ric

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
I've tried the conventional highlighting Cols A and C (B hidden), right clicking and then checking the unhide option but in this case that option is not offered to me.

Is the sheet protected? In which case you need to unprotect it first - if it has a password, you will need this to do so. Even if it is protected and you don't have the password you may be able to source the values in this column by using an empty column and apply formulas:

=B1

and copy down
