I have in one cell the following formula:

=TEXT(TODAY(),"mmmm")

This will display the current month for today "March". Perfect.
I have the cell merged with the next four cells. The next five blocks of cells are all five columns worth of cells merged together. In the second block, I would like to have the next month displayed. I have the following formula in the next cell.

=TEXT(MONTH(TODAY())+1,"mmmm")

The result I get is "January"

Is there a simple formula that will allow me to get the correct next month displayed? I would then like to add "+2", "+3", etc. to fill the next four cells with successive months.

Thanks for the support.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
How about:

=TEXT(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()), MONTH(TODAY())+1, DAY(TODAY())), "mmmm")

Hi, you can also try;

=TEXT(EDATE(TODAY(),1),"mmmm")

Where the 1 is the number of months to increment.
