Update prices in master XLS based on another XLS file

Hi there,

Im an Excel noob so please excuse my lack of knowledge here.

I am wanting to update a master price file on the PC with a seperate supplier price file that has been sent to me.

Unfortunately I cant just copy and paste one to the other as the arrangement of the master file means the rows dont match up on each.

What I think would work would be to have a formula or something similar that says "update the price field in master file with this value when column A = partnumber"

Im not the best at explaining things but what I mean is that in both files the common ground is the part number cell.
