Update Query for Access in Excel macro

I need to update multiple Access tables in a single database from an Excel macro. I do not need to see any of the data or put it into a spreadsheet. I intend to use an SQL Update query. I know how to write the SQL query, but I do not know what type of connection and objects to use. All help is extremely appreciated.

Any short examples or links to appropriate sites would be sufficient. Just something to get the ball rolling.
