Hi All

I am entering the following formula in cell C28 of an Excel file called Mark4.xlxs....The sheet Wheel_Turn exists in the file but when I enter the formula it just produces a windows save box with the title "Update Values:Wheel Turn", if i click cancel the formula doesn't work but just give an error saying " A value used in the formula is of the wrong data type" but I have used the same formula with different sheet types and it works fine....can't figures out what the issue is! The cell I have inserted the formula in is formatted as general

S:S is formatted as %
B:B, C:C and H:H is formatted as general

=AVERAGEIFS(Wheel_Turn!S:S,Wheel_Turn!B:B,C25,Wheel_Turn!C:C,C26,Wheel_Turn!H:H,C27)

Any help on this would be much appreciated,

Regards
Donal

What formula do you get when you type =SUM( and navigate to the Wheel_Turn sheet and select a range and then complete the formula with ) and Enter?

Thanks for the reply Glenn, actually figured it out!!! The values C25, C26 andC27 are taken from another sheet called CoverSheet and I wasn't referencing this in the formula so I tried this and it worked!!

=AVERAGEIFS('Wheel_Turn '!S:S,'Wheel_Turn '!B:B,'Cover Sheet'!C25,'Wheel_Turn '!C:C,'Cover Sheet'!C26,'Wheel_Turn '!H:H,'Cover Sheet'!C27)

OK. Also note that the Wheel_Turn sheet name is not as you originally thought .. it has a trailing space extra that you didn't seem to know about.
