I have a column that has date & time in mm/dd/yyyy hh:mmss XM format. When I use <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Selection.NumberFormat =”m/d/yy in a macro the column is not updating until I click into the cell and do a hard return.

What am I missing???

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
It sounds like you have text entries that look like dates. To convert them you should be able to use Data|Text To Columns checking Date at Step 3.
