Hi Guys

Is there a way to auto filter a table using a column header name instead of a field value

eg. Selection.AutoFilter Field:=15, Criteria1:="=*" & strUserIn & "*", Operator:=xlAnd

Instead of using 15 use the name of the header there. The table is called "table2" and the header is called "type".

thanks

Rory

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
How about like
VBA Code:
   With ActiveSheet.ListObjects("Table2")
      .Range.AutoFilter .ListColumns("Type").Index, "=*" & strUserIn & "*"
   End With
