Hi out there,
I wish to highlight a specific cell (say A3) when ever it becomes the active cell. I wish to apply this to this cell only and no other. I have no problem with the code to change the interior colour but I am unable to target to a specific cell...

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
<s>Many threads here on this subject. I always recommend:

There's also an entry in the Mr Excel Hall of Fame if you feel like coding it yourself.</s>

Sorry read to quickly! Just drop this into the worksheet's code module:
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
    With Target
        If .Address = "$A$3" Then .Interior.ColorIndex = 6 Else Range("A3").Interior.ColorIndex = xlColorIndexNone
    End With
End Sub
