Use Vlookup on 2 workbooks

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to use Vlookup accorss 2 workbooks. I've used the forumla wizard and while I have that open I can see the correct answer. But when I click OK I get the forumla NOT the answer in the selected cell.

=Vlookup(B8,[Madison_Net_Test.xls]sheet1!,$A$2:$D$3018,4,0)

I'm sure there is something wrong with my forumla can someone see my mistake.

Ensure that under Excel Options you have not checked 'Show formulas in cells instead of their calculated results'

A couple of things

1. At the end of the formula instead of 0 have false

2. The cell might be formatted as text so change it to general and refresh

Thank you VERY MUCH SWST, I changed the last to "false" and reset all the colums in question to General and it worked!!!
