Users allowed to remove AutoFilter in a protected sheet in Excel Online

I have an Excel workbook that many users work on it simultaneously. I protected the main sheet, leaving only some of the rows available for editing. Also, the protected sheet has an AutoFilter in the first row.
when we publish the file in a SharePoint site and open it in Excel Online, it allows the users to remove the filter and they cannot put it back afterward. Then we have to unprotect the sheet, put the filter back and re-protect the sheet.
This issue has made some inconveniences for the users as they need to use the filter but it has been removed. Is there any workaround for this issue? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
