Hi all,
I have been thinking and well, I get repetitive data often and I have to keep my supervisors updated with data on a daily basis and well to be honest it gets quite repetitive. So I find myself doing the time task multiple times and instead of being able to progress, I find myself in constant retreat; as I have to go back and repeat a process I have already done time and time again before.
Basically,
Mon (tons of new work, time consuming, but this is the main chunk of my work)
Tue (not much change in data/ could possibly be made very simple with macro)
Wed (not much change in data/ could possibly be made very simple with macro)
Thu (not much change in data/ could possibly be made very simple with macro)
Fri (not much change in data/ could possibly be made very simple with macro)
I get my data and I have to assign it a category.
item X (not assigned)
{after Monday work}
item defined as A
thus item A is defined with a color to show classification.
PROBLEM POINT**
Tue
Wed
Thu
Fri
I am repeating Monday 4 more times in a week.
Well why can't I just use the same Monday data and just rename it Tuesday?
Well, that is because we get more items during the week, though low in number, do have to be accounted for.
So, to my question.
Can I have a macro pull this 'repeat' data from another file that contains the same name?
It sounds dangerous and a pipe dream, so send troops!
