I am wanting to count the number of instances where the date in Column B is at least 5 days after the date in Column A, provided Column A is not blank. I cannot seem to structure the DCOUNTA formula to do this.

Column A Column B
Arrive Date Need By Date
04/14/11 05/07/11
04/12/11 04/06/11
04/01/11 04/15/11
03/31/11 04/28/11
03/31/11 04/21/11
03/31/11 03/31/11
03/28/11 03/30/11
03/25/11 03/21/11
03/25/11 04/16/11

Criteria Cells:
Need By Date
>'Arrive Date'+5

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't think to mention in my initial post...

This comes from a data table that will grow with time, and I want to have the DCOUNT function operate without rely on any other formulas in the data table. Not sure if it's possible.

Thanks!

Maybe this:

Note: this is a table with a row of total, but I used the function SUMPRODUCT.
