So, I'm in an audit that requires another language. With the people gathering data from multiple languages, we have to scan through the descriptions for inconsistencies. However, the shorthand and abbreviations used by different people make it very hard to translate or convert text, with Find and Replace being unable to get it all. For example, for the word Pembiaya, it might be typed as BY, BY. ( With a period ), PEMB. PEMBY. , Pemb, BY, Pmby etc. Is there any way that would allow me to convert all forms of these words to a standard "Biaya" or "Pembiaya", as even the "Find and Replace" tool with a macro can't catch it all without erroneously editing other unrelated text. Other examples include typing words such as "police" as "Polis" "Polrek" "Pol" "PLC" "Anggota" etc. Or using abbreviated text such as "WTR" for water, including mispellings etc.

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
you'll need to create a 'Mapping Table' that you can lookup from.....you may need to have multiple terms ( PEMB. PEMBY etc) that 'translate' to the same looked up term.
