Using INDIRECT and Conditional Formatting

Is it possible to use conditional formatting in this scenario?

Column B & C should contain identical values. However if there is a values in one colum, but not in the other I'd like the extra value highlighted.

I was thinking of use the Conditional Formatting Formula, but I'm not sure if this is possible to compare two columns of data.

you can use conditional formatting

highlight Column C then conditional format / formula

=COUNTIF(C:C,B1)=0

then format your colour ---- this will highlight any cell in C that does not match B
