Hi all,

I have a variable called myNum.

myNum contains numbers like 12345.67

What I want to do is use len function.

Code:
someOtherVar = len(myNum)
But this gives me 8, I want it to not include the decimal or the number that trails the decimal.

Desired result = 5

Thanks in advance.

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi,

I don't use Vba (just an attempt), the formula could be

=Len(round(myNum,0))

Hope it helps

Regards

try the Fix command (it truncates-so make sure u r ok with that) instead of len - len is length of a string
