Hi,

Bizarre problem I haven't seen before.

I'm opening up a fresh Excel session, and I've turned Calculation to Manual in options. On hitting F9 I get the error:

Run time error '1004'
Method 'Calculation' of object '_Application' failed

I've not changed any code or attempted to use any VBA - even just trying to recalculate a formula in A3 where it is =A1+A2 causes the above error.

Anyone come across this? It hasn't previously been a problem so I'm a bit confused.

Thanks

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Do you have any Add-Ins installed? Do you have any Worksheet_calculate event code?

Using a corporate PC so it's a bit difficult - there are lots of add-ins but none of my colleagues have the problem and I'm not aware any of the add-ins have changed.

I've looked in the editor on that sheet and set to Worksheet and Calculate - but there's nothing unusual there so I don't think there are any worksheet events set up.
