I have just created a model which has almost a thousand rows, I have used outlines to aid users navigation, but when i protect the sheet the outlines are disabled. It seems use of outlines are not an option under the protection tab.

Please is there a way I can protect the sheet and still use the outline buttons?

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
I use a macro, something to this effect:

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)

    If ActiveCell.Activate = True Then
        If ActiveCell.Locked = True Then
            Range("A1").Select
            MsgBox ("Cell locked!")
        End If
    End If
End Sub

This requires cell A1 to be unlocked, you may want to change to a different range.
