using sum in array format

=SUM(($B1:$E2="Fuel")*($F1:$I2)*($A$1:$A$1="A"))

I was hoping to use the above Array formula
The only problem is that I want the last part only to check one row.
Is there some way to tell the formula not to worry about expanding the A criteria.

Would the following do?

=IF($A$1="A",SUMPRODUCT(--($B1:$E2="Fuel"),--($F1:$I2)),"")

Perhaps just SUMIF.....

=IF($A$1="A",SUMIF($B1:$E2,"Fuel",$F1:$I2),"")
