Hi there.

I have a quoting system based in excel that i am currently developing which includes validations with lists for all the products.

I also have a separate page for the products currently on special.

What i need, is when a product is selected from the validation list, a check to see if the product they selected is on the specials page, and then show a yes/no message box etc...

I know how to write the coding for the checking and the messagebox, I just have no idea if it's possible to run the macro everytime somebody selects something from the validation list.

is there a way to do this?
Any help would be much appreciated :3

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
If you use a ComboBox control you can assign a macro to run overtime its value changes - giving you a chance to run your desired logic.

hmmm it sounds like a good idea, but as I'm making a presentation on this at a corporate meeting next wednesday, I don't really want to have to gut most of my coding and formulae pointing to that cell with the validation.

Is there a quick fix for this?

Maybe try using the WorkBook_SelectionChange event as a botch, but not entirely sure how.stable it would be!
