using vba to post Null value into database

Does anyone know how to use vba to post a null value into a database?

I have already tried assigning the value I send to the database to Null and vbNullString but not luck. Each time I go into the database the value is set to "0"not null.

Check the default value for the field in the database. More then likely its set to 0
