I want to check if a certain document ("C:\text.docx") is open or not
And if it's open, close it and check if any others documents are open
If no, exit word application.
Any suggestions plz ?
Thank u.

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Somewhat unclear, so here's a macro which does the following...

  1. Checks whether Word is open.
  2. If Word is not open, it exits the sub.
  3. If Word is open, it checks whether "text.docx" is open.
  4. If "text.docx" is not open, it exits the sub.
  5. If "text.docx" is open, it closes it, and quits Word if there are no other documents open.

Here's the macro..

Code:
[COLOR=darkblue]Option[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Explicit
[/COLOR]
[COLOR=darkblue]Sub[/COLOR] test()

    [COLOR=darkblue]Dim[/COLOR] WordApp [COLOR=darkblue]As[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Object[/COLOR]
    [COLOR=darkblue]Dim[/COLOR] WordDoc [COLOR=darkblue]As[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Object[/COLOR]

    [COLOR=darkblue]On[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Error[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Resume[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Next[/COLOR]
    [COLOR=darkblue]Set[/COLOR] WordApp = GetObject(, "Word.Application")
    [COLOR=darkblue]On[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Error[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]GoTo[/COLOR] 0

    [COLOR=darkblue]If[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Not[/COLOR] WordApp [COLOR=darkblue]Is[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Nothing[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Then[/COLOR]
        [COLOR=darkblue]On[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Error[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Resume[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Next[/COLOR]
        [COLOR=darkblue]Set[/COLOR] WordDoc = WordApp.Documents("text.docx")
        [COLOR=darkblue]On[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Error[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]GoTo[/COLOR] 0
        [COLOR=darkblue]If[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Not[/COLOR] WordDoc [COLOR=darkblue]Is[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Nothing[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Then[/COLOR]
            WordDoc.Close [COLOR=darkblue]False[/COLOR]
            [COLOR=darkblue]If[/COLOR] WordApp.Documents.Count = 0 [COLOR=darkblue]Then[/COLOR]
                WordApp.Quit
            [COLOR=darkblue]End[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]If[/COLOR]
        [COLOR=darkblue]End[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]If[/COLOR]
    [COLOR=darkblue]End[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]If[/COLOR]

    [COLOR=darkblue]Set[/COLOR] WordApp = [COLOR=darkblue]Nothing[/COLOR]
    [COLOR=darkblue]Set[/COLOR] WordDoc = [COLOR=darkblue]Nothing[/COLOR]

[COLOR=darkblue]End[/COLOR] [COLOR=darkblue]Sub[/COLOR]

Hope this helps!
