Similar to many many posts already but some of the code I am unfamiliar with and can't adapt. So here poses mt problem.

inventory.xls and sold.xls

I am trying to take column b (model#) in sold.xls and search inventory.xls for that model number (also in column b) and when that model # is found take column c in sold.xls and put # in. (a specific model number will only appear once so I don't have to worry about a figure being written over).

for example: sold.xls shows model bdp37 has a selling number of 8 so it needs to search inventory.xls for that same model number and replace current sales number in column c with 8.

This started out sounding simple but it really has thrown me for a loop.

(if not asking to much if a match isn't found turn font red in sold.xls)

Thanks
