I have a macro which essentially combines/consolidates the first worksheet from multiple workbooks. It works great, however for a certain group of files the code is encountering an error (see underlined code below).
FYI - destrange = destination range
What appears to be happening is certain reports have "----------" and "=========" as column wide definitions. (If I take these field out the consolidation macro works fine). I think when the code tries to move them over to the consolidation file it is getting the
"Microsoft Office Excel found an error in the formula....do you want to accept the correction proposed below?"
Which in turn ends the macro... any thoughts on a resolution? Maybe define the destination range as being in TEXT format?
Cheers,
Graeme,
FYI - destrange = destination range
Rich (BB code):
'Set the destrange
Set destrange = BaseWks.Range("B" & rnum)
'we copy the values from the sourceRange to the destrange
With sourceRange
Set destrange = destrange. _
Resize(.Rows.Count, .Columns.Count)
End With
destrange.Value = sourceRange.Value
