Hi
Thanks for allowing me to post. After several frustrating hours searching the internet I still can’t find the help I need.
I would like to enter a date in a cell and then when enter is pressed the information I require is taken from another sheet based on the day entered and placed into another cell on the original sheet I started in.

Basically I need to get a starting amount of fuel stored in another worksheet for the beginning of a month and then the final amount of fuel for that same month so that I can enter sales and calculate losses and gains.
The tables start at 01/01/21 and will run for one year.
If I haven’t explained enough then just a bit of VBA code to search through a worksheet other than the one I am currently on to find a figure and copy back to my original sheet.
I have attached a sample sheet for what is required.

Thanks in advance
Heliman

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
It would be easier to help if you could use the XL2BB add-in (icon in the menu) to attach a screenshot (not a picture) of your sheet. Alternately, you could upload a copy of your file to a free site such as www.box.com or www.dropbox.com. Once you do that, mark it for 'Sharing' and you will be given a link to the file that you can post here. Explain in detail what you want to do referring to specific cells, rows, columns and sheets using a few examples from your data (de-sensitized if necessary).
