Hi,

I would like some advice on a pivot i must create each month for consolidating orders from a flat file in excel. Attached is an example.

Sheet 1: Orders FLAT FILE
Sheet 2: PIVOT
Sheet 3: Master

Once i get the pivot fixed (or possibly an alternative to a pivot as the flat file could have more lines each month)
1) Issue with the pivot at the moment is I can't get the months to sort (jan,Feb, Mar... and so on) they now sort alphabetically (Apr, Aug, Dec...)
2) Secondly once i have the pivot i want to be able to match the month from the column heading to a master sheet through vba (Example in the attached file) matching the Item Code to the month. ( the month will be rolling in the master each month.
a) Reason i use the pivot is to sum the orders if there is more than one order for an item in a particular month.

Hope you help or advise?

Thanks.

I can't attach a file to show, any suggestions ?

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
