After starting with Excel, I got the hang of VBA, cool stuff.

So now I want to apply VBA to Word documents. Is it recommended and even possible.

Does someone know a good website for VBA in Word (as this one for Excel)?

*whispers humbly*I can not even get a messagebox to work when the document opens...

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi Stan,

VBA is certainly possible in Word - it's got quite a rich object model. As to whether it's recommended, that depends on what you're trying to do.

I don't know of an exclusively-Word forums like Mr Excel, but there's a lot of good information out there. A good starting place is http://word.mvps.org/index.html.

Two forums where you'll be able to get extensive help are:
. Tek-Tips (http://www.tek-tips.com/index.cfm) and
. Woody's Office Portal (http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/wwwthreads.pl?Cat=)

Cheers
