VBA Macro Question

I have assigned a toolbar icon to run a macro.
It runs fine the first time I use it.
The second time I try and use it, I get an error message and it does not work.
When I select F8 I see the assigned macro gets changed or loses its assignment. Consequently the macro does not work.

Does anyone know what I can do to stop the macro icon from losing its assignment?

Are you saying that on the same machine, with the macro file in the same location as when the assignment was made, that the button can't find the macro? ( what was the error message exactly? You didn't say. )
