Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Have you got access to your control panel, as you can use the scheduler to open the workbook at 5pm.

Try use "Scheduled Tasks" in Start - > Accessories - > System Tools - >Scheduled Tasksyou can schedule your wb to be opened every day at 5:00 pm.</PRE>

Yes if you use this method, but you did say you have to open a workbook at 5pm.
