VBA message box to show list

Hi, I am going to come clean, while I am good at excel I suck big time at VBA! I have tried simple messages, but have had no success...
I am struggling with an simple task for an assignment and I am against the clock to submit, would appreciate any help! please!
Here is what I need to do:
"we would like the user to be able to obtain a list of all male or female singers – as per their choice – from the list available on a sheet called “Singers”. The resulting list should be displayed to them in a message box. Write the code to accomplish the task.
