VBA on Chrome

Hi all,

From my understanding, in order for VBA to work on Chrome. I will need the installation of Selenium. Is there any way whereby there's no installation of 3rd party applications example Selenium due to company's policy. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. There is and I'm a bit surprised that more people don't know about it given that many of us are in the same boat as you are re: corporate policies. You can use the Chrome Development Protocol which provides a way of interfacing with Chrome irrespective of which language you're using. There is a VBA implementation of the method here: https://perditionc.github.io/VBAChromeDevProtocol/

They have demonstration workbook to show how to accomplish some common tasks. I haven't used it a lot, but let time I did (a few months back) it worked perfectly fine.

Hi Dan_W,

Wondering if you can help. I was being prompt an error "Compile error: User-defined type not defined" immediately after I run the code. Is there any library type I will need to check.
