VBA To Change The Colour of A Letter In A String

I have a cell, E3, containing a two letter value ("CO")
I am looking for a VBA solution to change the colour of the first letter ("C)" red, while leaving the "O" the default colour.
Can anyone suggest an idea? I can change the cell font color, but I just need to find a way to do one letter at a time.
