Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Hi
It will depend on its location:

Code:
'inside UserForm
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
MsgBox Me.cb1.Value
End Sub

' sheet control
Sub cbvalue()
MsgBox ActiveSheet.OLEObjects("ComboBox1").Object.Value
End Sub
