I am very new to this vba thing and probably trying to run before i can walk.

I wish to merge and reformat the cells within each row, that contains text in columns g,h, and i and reformat column F, but i want do this only where there is txt in the column.

i looked on here a got some code that i think selects the text, and have added it the recorded macro that i did to get the code for the merging / reformatting, as below

When i press the F5 to test, it gets hung up about merging the cells, so not sure if this tring to merge the whole together or what, but any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Dim LR As Long, c As Range
LR = Cells.Find("*", , xlValues, xlWhole, xlByRows, xlPrevious, False).Row
For Each c In Range("G50:I" & LR)
c.Range("A1:C1").Select
With Selection
.HorizontalAlignment = xlCenter
.VerticalAlignment = xlTop
.WrapText = True
.Orientation = 0
.AddIndent = False
.IndentLevel = 0
.ShrinkToFit = False
.ReadingOrder = xlContext
.MergeCells = False
End With
Selection.Merge
With Selection
.HorizontalAlignment = xlLeft
.VerticalAlignment = xlTop
.WrapText = True
.Orientation = 0
.AddIndent = False
.IndentLevel = 0
.ShrinkToFit = False
.ReadingOrder = xlContext
.MergeCells = True
End With
Selection.Borders(xlDiagonalDown).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlDiagonalUp).LineStyle = xlNone
With Selection.Borders(xlEdgeLeft)
.LineStyle = xlContinuous
.Weight = xlHairline
.ColorIndex = xlAutomatic
End With
With Selection.Borders(xlEdgeTop)
.LineStyle = xlContinuous
.Weight = xlHairline
.ColorIndex = xlAutomatic
End With
With Selection.Borders(xlEdgeBottom)
.LineStyle = xlContinuous
.Weight = xlHairline
.ColorIndex = xlAutomatic
End With
With Selection.Borders(xlEdgeRight)
.LineStyle = xlContinuous
.Weight = xlThin
.ColorIndex = xlAutomatic
End With
Selection.Borders(xlInsideVertical).LineStyle = xlNone
ActiveCell.Offset(0, -1).Range("A1:A4").Select
With Selection
.HorizontalAlignment = xlGeneral
.VerticalAlignment = xlTop
.WrapText = True
.Orientation = 0
.AddIndent = False
.IndentLevel = 0
.ShrinkToFit = False
.ReadingOrder = xlContext
.MergeCells = False
End With
ActiveCell.Select
Selection.Borders(xlDiagonalDown).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlDiagonalUp).LineStyle = xlNone
With Selection.Borders(xlEdgeLeft)
.LineStyle = xlContinuous
.Weight = xlMedium
.ColorIndex = xlAutomatic
End With
With Selection.Borders(xlEdgeTop)
.LineStyle = xlContinuous
.Weight = xlMedium
.ColorIndex = xlAutomatic
End With
With Selection.Borders(xlEdgeBottom)
.LineStyle = xlContinuous
.Weight = xlHairline

End With
With Selection.Borders(xlEdgeRight)
.LineStyle = xlContinuous

.ColorIndex = xlAutomatic
End With
Next c

End Sub
