VBA to protect cells with data

Hello,

I'm trying to protect cells with data entered in them for a given column.

I.E. Once someone enters data into cell D1, they cannot change the data in D1, but they enter data in D2 or any other emtpy cell in column D.


I have Excel 2000 professional.

Can someone help?
