VBA To Use .Value or Not

I've noticed in VBA you can access an object's .Value property by just saying the object name, not having to specify .Value. Is this bad practice or does it matter? What is the difference of doing "Cells(1,5) = 6" vs "Cells(1,5).Value = 6"?

I believe that the default property of a cell is its Value so .Value can be omitted. However, it is better practice to include .Value.
