Excel Version 2007

I can't password protect my VBAproject unless there is a module. It there is no module it does allow me to enter in a password, but once the file is closed and reopened, no password.

Even with a module and password protection, if the spreadsheet is saves as an .xlsx file rather than an .xlsm, it removes the module, thus the password protection of the project allowing anyone (with knowledge of the VBA console) to unhide any "Very Hidden" tabs.

Is there something else I can do the keep a sheet hidden with password protection without protecting the entire workbook?

Thanks,

Brad

No replies.

Does anyone else have a concern about this? It seems to be a design flaw to allow a .xlsm file to be saved as a .xlsx and have all the macro modules removed (which removes the project password protection).

Anyone have a solution?

At this point I would not put any confidential info in a 'very hidden' sheet.
