Very strange in using dateserial

I wrote cells(1,1).value=dateserial(2016,6,1) then it is correct. However when I write cells(1,1).value=dateserial(2016,6,1) & " " & timeserial(23,00,00) then it will change to 6-Jan-2016. Why and how to fix? thanks.

Try: Cells(1, 1).Value = DateSerial(2016, 6, 1) + TimeSerial(23, 0, 0)
