I have an excel spreadsheet with data in it. I want to add a column and do a VLOOKUP from another spreadsheet (3 worksheets), to place Post codes into wider areas, and then split the file ito different worksheets depending on the wider areas, as well as an ALL sheet. can anyone help??

The dataset is like this:

A B C postcode NEW COLUMN F G
X X X xxx xxx area 1 X X
X X X xxx xxx area 1 X X
X X X xxx xxx area 2 X X
X X X xxx xxx area 2 X X
X X X xxx xxx area 3 X X

THE LOOK UP WOULD LOOK UP COLUMN D FOR EXAMPLE, INSERT THE LOOK UP VALUES INTO E, AND SPLIT WORKSHEETS BY COLUMN E??
