=vLOOKUP($A$4,INDIRECT(sheet1!$A$1),2,FALSE)

(sheet1!$A$1) contains a dynamic formular that returns a range name. This range had been found on sheet4 but I need to move it to a seperate file. How do I tell the vLookup formular to look in another file for this dynamic range?

Note
With Indirect, both files will have to be open.

Try revising your lookup by referring to the other SS and then revise your formula.

It may e easier if you name the Lookup Range.
