You can see 3 different sheets, admissions of new customers come in every month, u can see some new admissions in january sheet and also in febuary sheet and sheet2 is like a summary and reporting sheet, what i m trying to do is and what i want that, in sheet2, in E11 cell there should come admission date of that particular user but this user can be in any sheet of any month and and in sheet2, there is a data validation data in A11 cell, it was easy to do with vlookup formulae but i was limited with just 1 sheet, whatever card # i select from sheet2 A11 cell then name and father name of customer comes by using vlookup formulae and same i want for admission date, but i m not able to handle this and take my desired data from different sheets of months, unique card # is assigned to each customer.
i hope u understood my problem so plz kindly suggest me the correct formulae to get my desired result, either by using vlookup only or combinaton with other formulae, whatever u think is better and effective.

Is it totally necessary to have different Sheets for different Months?

Life would be a whole lot easier if your data was all on one Sheet.

no it is not necessary to have different sheet for different months, i did just bcoz to make it look good in one view and easy. i don't mind to put the columns of all months from feb to december and paid date column for them in above sheet of january sheet besides the column of january and paid date column but problem is for admission date and admission amount
as i said, admission of new customers can be in any month so then to put all these in one sheet then i will have make more columns seprately for admission date and admission amount, for example, january admmission date and febuary admission date and so on
u can re-arrange the same data above according the way u think is much better, in which my problem can be solved and then tell me the formulae which can solve this problem, hope u understood whatever i said . Thanks

But what I don't understand is when you say you want to return the 'Admission Date' of a particular person based on the 'Card #' (a unique identifier as I understand it). For example, if I look at Card # 1, this person was admitted on the 25/06/2011, but also on the 04/06/2011. In such a scenario, what value do you want returned?
