Is it possible to have the vlookup function search the hyperlink address instead of the hyperlink display text?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Welcome to the board SSUser.

I will tentatively say no, there is not a way to access the the hyperlink address using vlookup. There is also no built in function that I could find that would access the address either. If you want to do something like that you will have to use a VBA macro or user defined function. If that something you are able and willing to try let me know.

Also could someone confirm that accessing the hyperlink access is not something that can be done at the worksheet function level. Thanks
