Vlookup in Calculated Field

Why we can use vlookup formula in calculated field in standard pivot table, we can use vlookup in calculated field pivot table as long as the excel file open, but after save the file and open it again, all the pivot table become value.
I know using the power pivot there is DAX formula "LOOKUPVALUE" same as vlookup in calculate field.
is there away in excel 2007 version we can use Lookup in Pivot Table?
