Here is what is going on, I need to use the vlookup function with the name of a company as the lookup value. Unfortunitaly there is some variations in the spelling in my data file. Is there any way to do a vlookup function that just looks at the first 3 characters of a cell and matches it with the first 3 of the target cell? Kind of like merging the vlookup and the left() function.
