I have a table full of values column A has names but they Hav 4 numbers in front of them. I want to use vlookup in column C with only numbers in column A but when I try it comes up with #value

Anyone help??

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
This will find a match for text starting with "1234" from column A and return the value from column C

=VLOOKUP("1234*",A:C,3,0)
