VLOOKUP using time range not working

Hi,

I hope I explain this right but I’m trying to do what I assume is a simple VLOOKUP (although my excel knowledge is limited ?)

I’ve attach two photos, the first 2 show the VLOOKUP formula, that I found online, working with simple numbers.

The second 2 showthe same formula but trying to find it within a range on time and it always returns the same result of 00:15

Can anyone see what I’m doing wrong?…Maybe it can’t be done with a range of time?

Any help much appreciated.

In reality, it is a simple vlookup, but if you're not familiar with the fine details a simple oversight can have you running in circles.

Another option that would work with the table as you had it in your screen capture, would be to use INDEX and MATCH instead, using -1 as the match type.
I didn't suggest that in my earlier reply as VLOOKUP is much easier for most people to understand.
