Hi,

I'm using a list with names and e-mail adresses.
On another sheet i'd like to lookup the email adres based on the name.
I used VLOOKUP and HYPERLINK but because it was looking for a file I also had to add "mailto".

this formula works:

=IF(VLOOKUP(R1C3,totaal,43,0)="","",HYPERLINK(CONCATENATE("mailto:",VLOOKUP(R1C3,totaal,43,0))))

is there a way the find a working link with VLOOKUP without the "mailto"??
The result of the formula is something like "mailto: mrexcel@mrexcel.com"
i'd like a result like "mrexcel@mrexcel.com" and when clicked it should mail....

thanx for reading (and helping).....

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.

Hi,

The second argument of hyperlink allows you define the text, so simply define the e-mail address without the mailto: and it should work.

Code:
=HYPERLINK(CONCATENATE("mailto:",A1),A1)

Hope that's what your looking for.
