Vlookup

hi all

wonder if anyone could help, i'm trying to do a vlookup on a spreadsheet, but i need it to add all the numbers of an item it finds and report all them together is this possible

im using column A as my lookup data and need it to report the totals in column I, but when the number in A is repeated i need the totals reporting

so on the below i would need it to add all the yellow together and report the total

thanks in advance for any help

What is your current formula?

=VLOOKUP(M2,orders!A:J,9,FALSE)

would a countif formula work,

Thanks for that, you would need sumifs, rather than countifs
Excel Formula:
=SUMIFS(orders!I:I,orders!A:A,M2)
